jajalalaOkay I'm just gonna list out a bunch of different projects haunting my mind atm so I can lay them out and decide prioritization
Alone Together (We'll Freeze in Hell)
This one is a big, long, angsty, Fuyumi&Touya focused My Hero Academia fic and is the most "current" project with deadlines for posting. With my current outline there will be AT LEAST 7 more chapters to write, but potentially more depending on how things shake out, and right now I feel like I'm wrestling with the upcoming final-ish arc and am starting to drag my feet, but I want to see it through to the end. This SHOULD be high priority.
Revolutionary Girl Ochako
Another My Hero Academia fic but crossed over with the general plot/concept of Revolutionary Girl Utena, featuring Toga/Ochako. I'm excited about the themes for this one, I have it fully outline and have written 9/15 chapters (though I need to edit and the final chapter count may change), so when I start posting I'll have a fantastic buffer. The one big thing I want to do BEFORE posting is to sort out some potential site-skin fun lil tricks to add certain details to it... so I've been trying to learn a CSS on the side to help prepare, but when the time comes I'm gonna want to experiment with creating a site skin that suits my needs.
Bulma/Vegeta
Okay so my roommate and I were watching Dragon Ball Z, we stopped but Bulma/Vegeta still fills my head and I thought of a very silly but potentially hot premise for the two of them that I want to pen down. I've started writing it, but it's maybe only 1/4 or 1/3 of the way done. Would just be a oneshot, at most maybe split into two chapters.
Zine fic
This one I haven't started as we're still pitching concepts, although I've pitched a concept that I outlined at some point that I HOPE I can keep under the wordcount limit. I'm trying to think up of one or two more potential concepts as well in case that first concept doesn't vibe. Idk how many details I can say as it's p early on in the zine's life.
Lesbian Dracula Musical Podcast
This is literally a total whim I concocted yesterday, but I whipped up a 9-episode outline. Looking at the outline before even penning a word, I do think the scale is beyond my ability to currently produce, so I need to decide between whether to simply focus on and enjoy the scripting/songwriting process and enjoy that the end product will likely JUST be a script... or to be ambitious and try out a different musical podcast concept on a smaller scale (like a 1, 2, or 3-episode thing with 1-3 characters I can maybe convince a few friends to help me with) that will help me scope out what a project like this would truly entail and what the difficulties/pain points would be.
(Also I should probably just check out musical podcasts that already exist and scope out how they work, I heard about them during ReaderCon and have not actually listened to one yet beyond one previewed there, but as a musical theater lover I love the idea of a musical with a lower production value than like, a WHOLE produced musical onstage. Very freeing, with the unique qualities of an audio drama.)
Duelist Kanae
Awhile back I heard someone say "Duelist Kanae" (from Revolutionary Girl Utena) and I'm intrigued by the concept. I have a general outline for what a long oneshot exploring this would be. I think I'm hesitating not just bc I have a million other projects, but also because the ending will definitely be in line with canon, AKA a tragic ending, and I'm not used to that... but it might be cathartic to get into that.
Midnight/Thirteen
This is an angsty concept that will likely be a bunch of vignettes, but is gonna explore grief, sex, feelings of compulsory sexuality?? It's not perfectly defined at the moment but I think it could be juicy.
Now please don't mind that I wrote this post instead of actually WORKING on any of these projects.... oop ^_^. I really should focus on my current multichapter, but I enjoy poking around at the other things as well...
